![]() Michel Lavergne, Monsieur Benoit Pelletier, Joël Leblanc, Hugue Pelletier, Justin Villeneuve, Marcel Leclerc, Marco Daigle and Stéphane Bertrand During the 43rd edition of the Gatineau international midget Kiwanis tounament, the Sylvain « Greg » Grégoire scholarship was given to Justin Villeneuve from the Gatineau Intrépide. The $1,000 grant recognizes the efforts of a hockey player who combined both studies and sports with success. The Intrepide’s number 2 invested seriously in his studies and was able to maintain an impressive academic result. A look as his notes from the last term speaks for itsef. 94% in mathematics, 97% in chemistry and a 100% in physics, giving him an average total of 93%. This player also has a perfect attitude both in class and outside. Justin is the 16th player to receive this Scholarship offered by the Michel Petit Foundation. The Michel Petit Foundation was created following the death of Doctor Michel Petit while playing hockey, to provide Gatineau’s arenas with cardiac defibrillator. The Sylvain « Greg » Grégoire grant, was instituted following the tragic death of the 28th tournament edition organizer. |
